____BIOGRAPHY____

JC Schroder is a critically acclaimed Director and Producer of award-winning independent film, live event, and commercial media productions.

Joshua Charles (JC) Schroder was born on May 16th, 1985 in Dallas, Texas, and began his career at an early age as a Sound Engineer for regional bands and high-school theater. In middle-school, he lived in Spain for four years, and upon returning to the US, was quickly chosen by local theatre companies as a Sound Designer and a/v Consultant. In January of 2000, Schroder formed Star Com Productions LLC, an independent production company in order to manage an ever increasing number of events ranging from concerts, to theatre and comedy shows.

In the summer of 2002, Schroder was brought on-board with "The Continentals," an international musical touring group (composed of singers/dancers and a live rock-band) as a Sound Engineer and Technical Director for their 2-month US tour. Upon his return, Schroder moved to southern Ohio to finish school and after producing several short videos and television spots for local businesses, began production on his first two independent films. -- Pictured: JC on the set of Stephen Murray's Doorways in 2006--

Schroder was hired by Paramount Parks in early 2003 as a Technical Supervisor, while working concerts for the entertainment department at Paramount's Kings Island, where he had the pleasure of working with such artists as REO Speedwagon, Jessie McCartney, and Michael W. Smith (among many others).

Schroder began attending Miami University of Ohio as a Mass Communications, Film and Business major in 2004. While at Miami, he served as President of the Miami Association of Filmmakers and Independent Actors (MAFIA Films) and continued his work on his own original films including Doorways, Aspirations, Waiting, Hopes & Dreams, and the critically-acclaimed, multiple award-winning short Freedomland (2008 PCFMF Gold Medal winner, awarded "4-Stars" by Filmthreat.com), on which he collaborated with multiple award-winning composer Douglas Romayne (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Master & Commander). Schroder follows with The End of All Things, a disaster-drama scheduled to premiere in 2008. --Pictured: JC on the set of The End of All Things in 2007--

In 2006, after working on over a dozen more commercials, films and other live event productions (including with Bill Cosby, Newsboys, MercyMe, AR Rahman and more), Schroder founded the first successful major international film event in the region, the Oxford International Film Festival, with the support of MAFIA Films' colleague and Emmy Award-Winner Stephen Murray. The event premiered for its first year in April of 2007 to international media coverage and attendance from around the world, receiving submissions from 41 countries globally. As a result of the now annual event's success, Schroder founded the Miami Valley Film Association, a non-profit organization, to manage the event and provide new film programs and production support for students and indie-filmmakers in the region.

---- Other Random Trivia: Though not known to most, Schroder is also an experienced concert clarinetist, an experienced public speaker, drummer, and an amateur composer. --Pictured: JC on the set of NBC's ER--

Where is he now? Schroder currently resides in Oxford, Ohio where he maintains a full-time production office for Star Com Productions and the Miami Valley Film Association, producing independent film, media, and live events (including the Oxford International Film Festival) though he frequents trips to the west-coast to attend production meetings, conferences, and speaking engagements.
